Post-season Honors Continue for Panther Boys

Pekin Boys’ Basketball Players Garner Additional Post-season Honors
Recently the Iowa Basketball Coaches’ Association All-District Teams and Iowa Newspaper Association’s All-State Teams were named. Pekin High School Boys’ Basketball, on the heels of back-to-back twenty-win seasons, had two players honored by the coaches and sports writers. Cody Millikin and Trey Sathoff, who were previously both selected first team all-conference, were among the eight players in 2A Substate #5 tabbed for All-District by the IBCA. Millikin, a 6’2” senior post, averaged 14.2 points and 8.2 rebounds a game. Sathoff, a freshman guard, averaged 14.5 points and 5.8 rebounds.
In addition to his all-conference and all-district honors, Cody Millikin was selected Third Team All-State by the Iowa Newspaper Association. Millikin joins an extremely talented 2A field of all-staters this year. Millikin was a three-year starter for the Panthers, who had a record of 54-15 during his high school career. He was First team All-Conference in the SEISC North the last two years.
