State Piano Contest

Cathy Day and Rachel Wonderlich were awarded the "OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AWARD" by the Iowa High School Music Association, via their judge, Mr. Tom Sandholm. This award is given to only one performance from a center for the entire day.

Saturday, February 13th, the Iowa High School Music Association sponsored the State Piano Contest which was hosted by Ottumwa High School. Cathy Day and Rachel Wonderlich performed a piano duet, "Jubilation", by Robert Vandall. They were awarded a Division I rating on their performance and also received a perfect score. Cathy is the daughter of John & Ann Day of Packwood and Rachel is the daughter of Rob and Corrina Wonderlich of Ollie. Cathy and Rachel are the piano students of Mrs. Kay Evans
