11. Pekin High School will be hosting their annual fall blood drive on Nov. 9th, 2017 from 10:30 - 3:30 in the high school commons. 12. Maci Gambell is teaming up with the Pekin FCCLA Group, Pekin Girls Basketball and Wreaths Across America to honor and remember our fallen veterans this holiday season. Together, we are working hard to ensure that all veterans laid to rest at 6 of our local cemeteries are honored this December on National Wreaths Across America Day. To get this program started, we need your help in the way of wreath sponsorships!! All wreaths will be laid on veteran graves on December 16th following a short wreath ceremony at Pekin High School. Show your appreciation of our veterans by sponsoring a wreath. Wreath sponsorship is $15 per wreath. For every two wreaths sponsored, Wreaths Across America will give us an additional wreath for free. Help us to make this program a huge success and continue to honor, remember and teach our children the value of freedom.  For more information contact Christy Gambell at christy.gambell@pekincsd.org or Maci Gambell at maci.gambell@pekincsd.org.  Also check out the Facebook Page Wreaths Across America-Pekin and like it, share it and spread the word.
