Kindergarten News

In Kindergarten we have been learning about leaves, pumpkins, and the changing of seasons.  We have been studying the life cycle of pumpkins, counted seeds, and labeled the parts of pumpkins.  We finished our pumpkin investigations with a trip to Autumn Acres in Oskaloosa.

This week we are going to continue learning about fall with leaf investigations.  We will be collecting leaves and making creatures.  We will also measure our leaves, see if they sink or float, and then try to sink our leaves with pennies.  With fall here we will also be preparing for Thanksgiving.  Our classrooms will be getting together for a kindergarten feast!!
