2017 Parent-Teacher Conference

Our second parent-teacher conference of the school year will involve each fifth grade student organizing materials to present to their parents. The students will reflect on the grades they received in each subject area from second quarter and at present time as a means of self-evaluation.

Students will set goals for future grades and discuss how their parents can provide help to achieve those goals.  They will self-rate themselves in organization and work habits and access how they think they can improve.

This system of collecting, organizing, reflecting, and sharing with parents helps students look at what they have learned, how well they have learned and holds them accountable.

The student-led conference is designed to help students communicate their successes and goals to their parents.  If parents were not able to come to this conference, the child is still be able to conference with them at home.
