PTO Supports Pekin Schools

 Story image 1_0

Pekin PTO supports teachers and all K-12 students in a variety of ways.  They host the school Carnival, Santa's Workshop, and Birthday Table, just to name a few.  They support field trips for all K-5th grade students and the Washington D.C. trip for 8th graders.  They are a resource to support special events, assemblies, and guest speakers.  They recognize teachers and support staff for their work with our students also.  In many ways, they help make Pekin a special place to work and learn.  Most recently, they replaced a newly 20 year old laminator for use by all staff, and they helped fund 2 of the 4 new picnic tables for the elementary patio area.  The tables allow teachers to conduct lessons outside, and are used as a gathering point for P.E. classes and staff.  We want to recognize and thank our PTO members for their diligent work and generosity in the support of Pekin Schools.
