2017 Pekin Homecoming

"Prowling thru the Decades"

September 18 - 22, 2017

Pekin's Homecoming is fast approaching.  With this year's theme being "Prowling thru the Decades," each class has been assigned a past decade.  The senior class will have a 80's theme, the junior class will have the 1950's, the sophomore's will undertake the 1970's, and the freshman will try their best with the 1960's.

The week will have dress-up days as follows:

Monday, Sept. 18 :     Neon Day

Tuesday, Sept. 19:     Tie-Dye Day

Wednesday, Sept 20: Wacky Disco

Thursday, Sept. 21:    Nifty Fifty or Homecoming Shirts

Friday, Sept. 22:        Spirit Day


Schedule of festivities:

Wednesday, Sept. 20:

  • Coronation in the high school gymnasium, with a bonfire and food following from 7 to 9 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 22:        

  • Parade at 2 p.m. in the school parking lot.
  • Pep Assembly from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m in the high school gymnasium
  • Pekin Football vs. Cardinal at 7p.m.

"Calling all former Pekin Homecoming Kings and Queens"…we would like to introduce former kings and queens during halftime of the Homecoming football game on Friday, September 22nd. Please let Lori Eads or the high school office know if you will be able to attend.

  • Dance following the football game (Pekin High School students and guests only). Tickets are $5.00 an d are available in the high school office. 

       Lee's studio will be taking the homecoming pictures. Picture packets may also be picked up in the high school office.

We invite all Pekin Panthers, past, present, future and the Pekin Community to attend the 2017 Pekin Homecoming!
