Elementary P.E. Update
Our 5th grade students are gearing up for the 5th grade jump rope show. They have been working hard perfecting all of their jumps and tricks to show the crowd at the basketball game. They will be performing for two halves and this year they will be doing some of their show in the dark! The physical education department purchased glow in the dark jump ropes that they will be using and also will have glow sticks on. The 5th graders are all really excited.!! K-2 students are jump roping and working on big jump rope games and rhymes. The k-2 are also earning certificates for jumping 10, 25, 50, and 100 times in a row without messing up. The 3, 4, and 6th grades are finishing up their jump roping and will be doing the Jump Rope for Heart Fundraiser. They will start that at the end of January beginning of February to fundraise for the American Heart Association.
Also in the elementary physical education department we have a student teacher, Mr. Molina. He will be teaching the students some new games in the upcoming weeks as he takes over the class by himself. I know the students and Mr. Molina are having a good time and are excited for him to teach them and learn new games.
