5th Grade Parent - Teacher Conferences 2020
Our second parent-teacher conference of the school year involved each fifth grade student organizing materials to present to their parents. The students were asked to reflect on what they have learned so far as a means of self-evaluation.
Students shared goals for their future and discussed how their parents could help them achieve those goals.
This system of collecting, organizing, reflecting, and sharing with parents helps students look at what they have learned, how well they have learned and helps to hold them accountable.
This student-led conference was designed to help students communicate their successes and goals to their parents. If parents were not able to come to this conference, the student was expected to conference with them at home and have their parents sign a form stating that they had shared. We were able to get almost 100% participation this year!
