Kindergarten News
Kindergarten is in full swing and off to a great school year! We have been easing into being back after such a long break from school, but the kids have been troopers. There are lots of happy faces and excitement with the kiddos finally being able to see their friends again and of course, having THREE recesses everyday!! They have been working hard learning the routines and expectations of kindergarten along with reviewing letters/sounds, rhyming, counting, numbers identification, what a good friend looks like, proper handwashing, and how to use their chromebooks to get on Google Classroom. Through the first couple weeks of school, the kindergarteners have also been learning about different types of transportation and using that to prompt the beginning stages of writing during our writers' workshop time. With fall in the air, they will be switching topics to start discovering more about apples, pumpkins, and fire safety. Their teachers are so excited to have them back at school in their classrooms and have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each and every one of them!
