Pekin Elementary Banking with Pilot Grove Savings Bank

Pekin Elementary Families,

Pekin Elementary has collaborated with Pilot Grove Savings Bank for several years to bring a banking opportunity to our students.  We are happy to continue this collaboration for the 2020-2021 school year, but due to COVID, we are amending our routine for this year.

Elementary students still have the opportunity to open a savings account and make weekly deposits. Each time a student makes a deposit their name will be entered into a drawing for a bank donation of $5.00 into their account.  Several winners will be selected in December and May.

Follow these instructions to participate:

  1. Pick up and return the completed account application to the elementary office if you don’t already have an account.

  2. Send your child’s deposit in their bank money bag, along with their blue savings account booklet, to the elementary office each Wednesday.

    1. If you have misplaced your money bag a simple envelope labeled with your students full name will do.

  3. School personnel will take all deposits to the bank for processing each Wednesday.

  4. Students’ money bags and bank deposit books will be returned each Thursday.

You are always welcome to make deposits directly to the bank as well.  We will begin this year’s Pekin Banking on Wednesday, Sept. 16th, and continue each Wed. school is in session.

If  you have any questions, feel free to contact the school or Kortney at Pilot Grove Savings Bank.
