1st Grade News
Hello First Grade Families,
We wanted to share that our first graders have made so much growth over the year in reading. Thank you for your contributions to their achievements. With the continued at home practice of rainbow words, spelling words, and take-home books. As we near the fourth quarter, please continue your at home routines in these areas. As the weather warms up and ball season starts, it gets harder to push through to the end of the year. Please help your first grader keep up their excellent at home practice skills.
We would also like you to know that your first graders are really excited to start our new coding initiative. Ms. Winslow, our computer science and STEAM coach has started working in our classrooms, helping us teach the students about computer coding. This program will include unplugged activities that are computerless as well as an online component to learn skills needed to code and debug computer software.
