Dear Pekin Community,
It’s with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of commitment that I step into the role of Superintendent for the Pekin Community School District.
Having spent many meaningful years here—as a special education teacher, assistant principal, and high school principal—I feel honored to return and continue serving a district that shaped much of my professional journey. Since beginning my career in 1998, I’ve worked in a range of leadership roles, including middle school principal in Ottumwa, shared superintendent for Pekin and Sigourney, and most recently Chief Operations Officer for Ottumwa CSD. I also retired from the Iowa National Guard in 2013, after 24 years of service.
I bring these experiences with one purpose in mind: to work alongside you in doing what’s best for our students. Our mission begins with listening, collaborating, and striving for excellence in every classroom, hallway, and conversation.
My door is always open. Whether you’re a parent, staff member, student, or community partner, I welcome your ideas and input. Together, we’ll build on the tradition of strength and care that defines Pekin.
