Pekin Community School District is excited to announce an expansion of its early childhood program for the 2026–2027 school year. Beginning next fall, Pekin will offer four‑day‑a‑week Preschool, operating Monday through Thursday.
To better serve families and meet growing demand, the district will provide two Preschool classrooms, allowing more children to access a high‑quality early learning experience within the district.
“Our goal is to ensure every young learner has a strong start,” said Aaron Deutsch, Elementary Principal. “Expanding to a four‑day model strengthens school readiness, supports consistent routines for students, and provides families with increased access to early childhood education.”
