NEW NEWS:

  1. Today is an A Day.

  2. Challenge for the month:  Before you start each day, take a minute to write down three things that you are thankful for.   Habits take 30 days to form.  Try this for the next 30 days and see how this small change can make a huge difference in your day.

  3. Late Bus leaves at 5:45 p.m.

  4. There will be a student council meeting in Ms. Lane's room Thursday morning at 7:15 a.m. Please email Ms. Lane if you are unable to attend.

  5. Pekin Cheerleaders have apparel for sale. To order, contact a cheerleader or Coach Richards.

  6. There will be a Yearbook meeting today during Dens in the Art room for all interested students,

  7. Students should sign up for Spanish Club by this Friday.  See Ms. Coffin or send her an email letting her know you want to join.

  8. HS Volleyball is now selling Pekin Jackets.  Two jackets are on display in the HS office.  They are non sport specific and will have Pekin Panthers and the logo on the front corner of the chest.  Choose red or black,  hooded, zip front and water resistant.  There is a sign up sheet in the HS office.  If you have any questions, please contact Rusty Crabtree at641-233-8435 or rusty.crabtree@pekincsd.org.

  9. There will be an 8th Grade trip meeting for students and parents tonight  at 6 p.m. in the Library.

  10. HS Volleyball here with Highland on Thursday starting at 5:30 p.m.

  11. HS/MS Cross Country at Fairfield on Thursday starting at 5 p.m.

  12. JH Volleyball with Cardinal scheduled for Thursday has been moved to the 28th.

  13. JH Football here on Thursday with West Burlington/Notre Dame

  14. V Football at North Cedar Stanwood on Friday  starting at 7 p.m.  

REMINDERS:

  1. A reminder to ALL students...you MUST sign in and out at the office if you are late or leaving early during the day.  The office must have written permission or a phone call from the parent or guardian or the student will not be allowed to leave.  Students need to talk to Christy before checking out.

  2. There is still time to sign-up for Yearbook Club in the high school office.
