Tonights Softball and Baseball games have ben cancelled due to wet field conditions. Softball and Baseball games are rescheduled for tomorrow 6/29/24. Varsity Baseball and Softball will start at 5:30 with JV Baseball to follow. There will be no JV Softball tomorrow. Seniors will be recognized tomorrow prior to the start of Varsity games.

Join our Panther Team!
We would like to inform you that if your 7-12 student wishes to attend the Elementary Relays, you will need to come to the school building to personally check them out. This procedure ensures the safety and accountability of all students. Please note that students will not be allowed to leave the building to attend the event without being checked out by a parent or guardian. Emails, phone calls, texts and written notes will not be accepted. We appreciate your cooperation in following this protocol to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.

Pekin Elementary Track Meet May 20
Pekin Community School and the Pekin Ministerial Association would like to invite the class of 2024, their parents and community members to Baccalaureate tonight at 7:30 pm. This event will be held in the high school gymnasium. All are welcome.

The kids love celebrating their birthday lunch with the principal. April and May kids were excited to share what they do on their birthdays and what they are looking forward to this summer.

Nurse Dana would like to send out a big THANK YOU to the Prairie View Methodist Church Sewing Club for making us comfort rice bags we can freeze or microwave for students to use for the occasional aches and pains. We appreciate the support of our communities!

Preschool Registration from 3-6 tonight!
The fourth grade spent last week reading, writing and doing different activities for Earth Day. Yesterday, April 22, was Earth Day. They have learned about how the day was created, the recycling loop, planting trees, eliminating pollution and litter, The Great Pacific Garbage Patch and taking care of our Earth. They are also recycling paper now here in the classroom to help take care of our environment. They finished out the project by making Earth Day puzzle posters and writing their commitment to taking care of our Earth.
